Your captain is a Thai Maritime-certified professional hand-picked by our team — someone who has spent years navigating these specific waters and knows the anchorages, currents and hidden corners that no guidebook covers. They handle everything on the water: navigation, weather routing, anchoring and safety, so your experience is seamless from the moment you cast off to the moment you return to the marina.
Your Host/ Chef
Before you board, we send you a full preference form — likes, dislikes, dietary requirements, favourite cuisines, anything you want more or less of. Your host/chef focuses on how to make your charter perfect for you and makes it happen on the water. Our hosts/chefs come from Thai culinary backgrounds and bring genuine expertise in the cuisine of these islands — but a crewed charter is not a Thai food-only experience. Whether you want authentic southern Thai dishes prepared with the flavours of the region, fresh fish landed by a line off the stern and cooked the same evening, or familiar western food done exceptionally well, your chef will deliver it. The menu is yours. They make it happen.

Sample Itinerary
No two Island Spirit charters are identical. The itinerary below is one way a week in the Andaman could look — but every detail is yours to change. Want to spend three days in Phang Nga Bay instead of one? Done. Prefer to skip the popular stops entirely and find bays nobody else is in? Your captain knows exactly where they are.
Sleep in, sail late, change plans entirely over breakfast — this is your charter, your pace and your call from the first morning to the last. Our job is to make whatever you want happen. Consider this a starting point, not a schedule.
Day 1 — Welcome Aboard Arrive in Phuket and transfer directly to the marina — no waiting, no logistics, everything arranged. Your captain and host welcome you on board, walk you through the yacht, and within the hour you’re under sail into Phang Nga Bay. Your first lunch is already being prepared below deck as the limestone karsts rise around you. This is Thailand from the first moment.
Day 2 — Sea Caves, Lagoons and Silence Into the heart of Phang Nga Bay — sea caves, hidden lagoons and the emerald waters around Koh Hong that photographs never quite capture. Past James Bond Island before the day-trip crowds arrive, and on to a quiet anchorage off Koh Yao Noi as the sun drops. Dinner on deck tonight.
Day 3 — Krabi and Railay Cruise towards Krabi with a morning stop at Koh Hong for swimming or the viewpoint walk above the bay. Arrive at Railay Beach in the afternoon — one of the most dramatically beautiful stretches of coastline in Southeast Asia, accessible only by water. Explore at your own pace and return to the yacht when you’re ready.
Day 4 — Koh Jum A slower day at Koh Phu — known to locals as Koh Jum and largely unknown to everyone else. Swimming off the bow, paddleboarding, or a walk through the fishing village. The kind of day that reminds you why you came.
Day 5 — Bamboo Islands and Phi Phi Morning snorkelling at the Bamboo Islands before continuing to Phi Phi — iconic for good reason. Explore the bays and the village ashore, or anchor off and watch the sunset from the water while your host prepares the evening ahead.
Day 6 — Koh Rang Yai A relaxed day at Koh Rang Yai — snorkelling, a visit to the pearl farm, and a long, unhurried afternoon on board. Your host will make good use of the afternoon.
Day 7 — Final Islands and Farewell Dinner A last morning among the smaller islands — Koh Kai Nui, Koh Nakka — swimming, beach time, one more anchorage to remember. Tonight is farewell dinner: three courses, on deck, somewhere beautiful.
Day 8 — Departure Breakfast at anchor. One last morning on the water before returning to Phuket. Transfer to the airport arranged and waiting.
What's On Board — Food and Drink
A crewed Island Spirit charter is fully catered — and before you board, your host has already read your preference list. Every menu is built around what your group actually wants, whether that’s authentic Thai cooking, western favourites, or a mix of both.
Breakfast Continental in style but anything but ordinary. Fresh tropical fruits, local pastries, eggs prepared your way, fresh coffee, juices and everything needed for a proper start to a day on the water. Served at anchor, at your pace.
Lunch Relaxed and generous — soups, salads, fresh wraps, fried rice, grilled dishes and the occasional BBQ depending on where you’ve anchored. And if the morning’s fishing produced results, your host will make something of it. There are few better lunches on earth than fresh catch, prepared on board, eaten at anchor.
Dinner A fully plated three-course dinner every evening — appetiser, main and dessert, prepared fresh on board and served properly. If the captain or your group have been lucky with a line, the catch of the day has a habit of becoming the centrepiece. This is not yacht food. It is genuinely good cooking, in genuinely extraordinary settings.
Drinks Mineral water, fresh coffee, teas and soft drinks are on board throughout. The bar is stocked to your preferences — and your host knows their way around a cocktail.
Eating Ashore The best meals in Thailand are not always on a yacht — and our captains know exactly where to find them. Whether you want a candlelit dinner at a beachfront restaurant, fresh seafood at a table in the sand, or a street food stall that locals have been going to for years, just ask. Thirty years of operating in these waters means our team has the local knowledge and the relationships to point you somewhere genuinely special — not just the nearest tourist option.

Everything you need to know before you book
The difference with a skippered charter is not just having someone to sail the boat. It is having someone who knows where to go. Our skippers have spent years exploring Thailand’s coastline across all three of our sailing grounds, the Andaman Sea out of Phuket, the Gulf of Thailand from Koh Chang, and the waters around Koh Samui. They know which anchorages are worth the detour, which reefs are worth the dive, and which bays are still empty at sunrise. That local knowledge is not something you can find on a chart. It comes with experience, and it comes with your skipper.
