Yacht Charter Season
Andaman has a moderate temperature all through the year within the range of 23°C to 31°C. It has a tropical climate. There are no severe climate conditions. We offer sailing cruises as from early October till end of March as this is the best season with light winds and little rain. We are based in Havelock Island just off the beach from Seashell Resort, Havelock

Arriving at Port Blair international airport there are 2 options to come to our Base.
You can take the Makruzz high speed catamaran ferry (1,5 hr transit). Operating between 8 am and 2 pm. Cost 20€-35€ depending on class. Or you can book a private power boat transfer (1hr transit) at 1250€
Both are 15 minutes away from the airport.
Air Asia staring direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Andamans 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday) with guests arriving to the Andamans at 11:00

Indigo has a code share agreement with Turkish Airlines which provides cheap and good connectivity from Europe to India (Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad & Bangalore) via Turkey.
From Europe: Qatar Airways from Paris, Frankfurt and other major European cities has one of the best rates and travel times. Other companies with good rates and flight times are Etihad, Lufthansa, Finnair. Companies like British Airways, Air France and KLM do offer flights to Andaman as well.
Important note: arriving in any major Indian airport you will need to collect you luggage and check it in again at the domestic airport for your flight to the Andamans (Port Blair). Make sure you have at least 3hrs in transit.
The Veer Savarkar Airport, an international Airport is located in the capital town of Port Blair, the gateway to the Andaman Islands.
All international travellers require an Indian visa before visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which must be applied for prior to arrival. You can apply for a visa at the Indian Embassy in your country of residence before traveling or you can apply for an e-visa via https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
Restricted Area Permit (RAP) is necessary for residents of Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, and foreign nationals with origin in these nations will still need a Restricted Area Permit to visit the Andamans. Which has to be applied online to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi and obtained before arriving at Port Blair.
All other nationalities (except citizen of Afghanistan, China, Pakistan) do not need a RAP for visiting 29 islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands
- The yacht is fully equipped and has all necessary items on board to have a care free and safe holiday.
- We make up your cabins before you arrive with quality clean linens. Each cabin has two sheets, bath towels and fluffy pillows.
- Children’s life jackets- Comfort is key to having a child accept wearing a life jacket, and they don’t work if they don’t wear them. If you’re sailing with a child that cannot swim, we strongly suggest that you invest in a quality, fitted life jacket for them and bring it with you. Island Spirit does have a selection of buoyancy vests suitable for some children, please book in advance to ensure availability.

Before you arrive, we will ask you about your food preferences and allergies you might have. This way the cook will be able to prepare a menu and do his shopping. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on board but feel free to taste the food on the islands.
You can also order your drinks before arrival. We will provide you with a list to order from. Feel free to bring your own drinks.
On the Andaman Islands the climate is tropical, hot all year round, with a dry season from January to April and a rainy season from May to November due to the Indian monsoon.
The temperatures are stable throughout the year, however, before the rainy season, in March and April, the hottest time of the year occurs.
Best season for sailing is starting early October and ending by end of April. The wind speeds are typically on the lower side, averaging around 5 to 10 knots. These lighter winds contribute to the calm sea conditions. This period of the year has little to no rainy days. Seawater temperature is 28°C all year around.
Local currency (currency fluctuations are possible)
Indian Rupee (INR) 1 euro = 90 INR. ATM machines are only available at Port Blair and Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Islands) & Shaheed Dweep (Neil Islands).
The facility for exchange of currency is only available at SeaShell Hotels in Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Islands) & Shaheed Dweep (Neil Islands). Credit cards are only acceptable in big hotels and resorts.
Customs
Arriving travellers are allowed to bring in 100 cigarettes and 2 litres of alcohol. Note that alcohol has to be stored in your check luggage and not in your hand luggage. Currency notes in excess of $5000 are to be declared at immigration.
Electricity on board
220 volt AC available on board when using generator. C Type for sockets. On land 220 volts with sockets mixed between 3 round pins. Can be different in some places. We suggest you bring a travel adapter.

Local SIM cards can be provided for guests that can be used on land but signal on water may be an issue
